Fantastic to see all the good old time wrestlers.
Only the music-themes of the wrestlers is replaced by another tune, what a waste.
Also the Liberace show is cut out, why? I don't know. I would give it a 5 star rating, if it wasn't for the cuttings/editing...

March 31, 1985. It was where it all began. The card consisted of a literal Who's Who in pro wrestling at the time. The show was a great wrestling event, mixed by numerous appearance by non-wrestling performers such as Liberace, Billy Martin and Muhammad Ali. Wrestlemania 1 also developped the Rock n'Wrestling connection when Cindy Lauper took part in the Women's title match. The main event pitted the connection of Mr.T and Hulk Hogan against Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper, with special referee Muhammad Ali. This is the only Wrestlemania to date in which the main event was a tag team match. Other matches included the IC Title match : JYD vs Greg Valentine. A wwf tag team title match : Volkoff and Iron Sheik vs Windham and Mike Rotunda (later known as IRS). The bodyslam match between Andr the Giant and Big John Studd. And much more. I give Wrestlemania 1 a 4 star-rate. Ten years ago it would have deserved 5 stars. The reason it only gets 4 stars now is because to fans who only know modern day wrestling, the event might seem a little dull since it was much more catch-as-catch-can than sports entertainment. But wrestlemania 1 is even more important for its significance than for its card itself. Wrestlemania 1 will be remembered for being the birth of a tradition, and the event that really catapulted wrestling to new heights.

This was the very first WrestleMania presented by the WWF. WrestleMania took place in March 1985 in Maddison Square Garden in New York. The matches include:

TAG TEAM MAIN EVENT: Hulk Hogan and Mr. T VS "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff

BODY SLAM MATCH: Andre The Giant VS "Big" John Studd

WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik VS Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham

Tito Santanna VS The Executioner

Plus there was many more matches. If you are a WWF fan, then you MUST own this video. This event was a classic.
