A decent iPhone alternative October 24, 2008

i purchased the CECT P168C from Amazon and was skeptical as to whether it would work with my network or whether it would be for me. The phone came fast and is a very good phone in general. I call it my iClone.
One important thing that everybody should know is that some people list different models of this phone under this listing. Basically, there is the original P168 which does not have the iphone like interface or the slide to unlock feature. There is the P168+ which also does not have the iphone interface but has slide to unlock feature and apparantly a better camera. The P168C (maybe also known as P168++) has the iphone interface and slide to unlock. The camera does say its 2MP but i can tell you that judging by picture quality, is not.
Also, all the phones have no flash on the cameras so taking photos in the dark is hard even with night mode. Finding settings can be quite difficult as some phone settings are in one area of the phone and the rest of the phone settings are spread out and can take a while to find.
One final bit of advice i would give is to double check with sellers as to the model of the phone they are selling as when buying this, was told the wrong product a few times.
Only reason it is not 5 star is because the phone lacks Java, camera flash and wi-fi/internet browser, some major features in some of the phones on the market nowadays.
