 Glad I Stayed with Minolta! March 19, 2002

After shopping around in local stores & on the web, I'm very glad I stayed with the Minolta line. I was also very pleased with the service and price I got from Amazon.com. This new camera has all the features we like for an easy to use camera to take on family trips and special occasions. It's lite weight with straight forward controls and is giving us great pictures. A great camera for the novice or more experienced user.

Excellent camera for a novice like myself who has never before had any eperience with an SLR camera. It's easy to use and the quality of photos is just super. I have had loads of fun with the 5 picture modes and the panoramic option. The only thing that is missing from this camera is an auto-off button for forgetful people like myself. I have accidentily left this camera on overnight on several occaisions. Inspite of this I haven't had to change batteries yet so battery life is VERY good.

I bought this camera for my wife, who wanted a better camera than her standard non-focusing, "gives-ya-red-eye", "cheap" 35mm camera. She was tired of pictures being out of focus---etc.She took 5-10 minutes to look over the manual, and started taking pictures within minutes. She is very pleased with how easy this camera is to use. She now takes this camera (joyfully) to all family functions, as well as at home-and prefers it (for now) over our basic digital camera. It's a great starter camera,(for the price & the functions) having manual or auto-focus -which is great when I need to use it, and I'm not wearing my glasses!

I recently purchased the Minolta Maxxum STsi and am pleased to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. It's my first "real camera" and I find it easy to use and fun as well. The pictures come out wonderful, and there are so many options and features you can choose from for every single picture. The only slight drawback is that it's a little large in size, and may be bulky to carry around. But for a beginner, such as myself, this camera is a fantastic choice.

I just got my camera and it's the first SLR camera I've owned.
This camera has many, many features and options and I am learning how to fully operate it. I find the instruction manual easy to understand, its light weight and easy to handle.In comparing it to my Nikon point and shoot.... Well I can't. If your looking for your first "real camera" try the Minolta STsi.
The picures are incredible.
