 Kindle is great! December 2, 2008
I have loved my kindle since the day I got it. I carry it with me where ever I go and I have told so many people about it and to go and buy one for themselves. Terrific!
Use Now, Read Manual Later December 2, 2008
The Kindle is very user friendly. I began using it right out of the box. I love that I can buy books using Amazon one-click and get my newspaper delivered when I want it.

My Kindle attracts attention wherever I have it. It is small and easy to carry. I find that books pile up at home, and I end up donating them or saving them in a closet or bookcase. And now I enjoy having a 1000+ page book on the Kindle. I would like to see more products available in the Kindle format. I especially wanted travel books. I am planning a trip to England and France this spring and wanted to take travel books on the Kindle to save room and weight for airlines. Also, the side bars to change pages are too easily touched by accident. everyone who holds my Kindle changes pages unintentionally. And my Kindle does not stay in the folder--it falls out, even when I put it in there correctly. I will have to use a strip of velcro to keep it from falling out. I think these things will improve with the next version. What a great idea this was !!
My Kindle December 2, 2008
I like the Kindle, in fact, bring it everywhere with me. The downloads are very fast, and the prices for the books are great! The ability to change the font size is handy. The dictionary feature is an added bonus.
The downside, is that the positioning of the buttons often cause unintentional page turning, either forward or backwards. And in turning it off, you will often change the page as well. The buttons are huge along the side, so it is going to happen often, as there is very little space to put your hands. Also, getting it in and out of the holder it comes with, will cause the pages to change.
All in all, it's a nice thing to have, and I'm glad I bought it, but there are many design flaws that should be considered.

Really enjoy the kindle but wish it were a little more rugged after only two weeks, the screen broke..it was being carried in its case in a tote bag and when it was taken out to view, the screen looked like an etcha sketch.
What was wonderfully amazing was that Amazon was great! They sent us a new Kindle and let us return the old one all in the matter of 4 days, Amazon has just earned our great respect for being one of the best costumer friendly companies out there!
