Product Description The Z20fd Finepix digital still camera features face detection to significantly improve your picture taking by identifying human subjects' faces in the frame (up to 10 faces) and in real time, determining the optimal focus and exposure settings for the absolute best results possible in any shooting conditions. Behind Fujifilm's face detection technology is a newly developed LSI chip combined with patented software that allows the FinePix Z20fd digital still camera to reach a level of performance in digital photography never before possible. And the sophisticated, intelligent software algorithms detect red-eye and correct it in-camera. More than just red-eye reduction, this is red-eye elimination, after the image has been captured, to assure every picture looks its best. The FinePix Z20fd with picture stabilization will automate professional photographic techniques to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail. Picture stabilization utilizes higher sensitivities, up to ISO 1600 in the Z20fd, an incredibly high signal to noise ratio, and faster shutter and operational speeds to deliver virtually blur free images where conventional digital cameras cannot. The Finepix Z20fd features high sensitivity of up to 1600 ISO at full resolution. It is combined with Fujfilm's advanced processor capabilities, shooting in low light environments with the Z20fd yields exceptional performance with less noise. The FinePix Z20fd is designed with style and fashion in mind for the youthful photographer that's on the move. The Finepix Z20fd features an xD / SD / SD-HC compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD picture card or SD media to store and transfer your photos. This convenient and flexible capability assures compatibility with a wider variety of applications than ever before, and allows users to choose the media technology that is right for them.

Great Movies Poor photos March 3, 2010 John Dayton I used this for more than a year and finally got rid of it. The photo quality was very disappointing and was finally forced to carry my old Canon digital elph for pics. The movie quality was very good and I loved the MP4 (lots of video very small files) format but just could not stand the pictures.
The ergonomics were not the best. Worst feature was a very small separate movie button very hard to turn on and off. It was nice having a separate button for pics and movies but still. . . . . .
Another bad feature was it is very easy to put the left fingers over the lens. This is the result of a good feature in that the lens never protrudes from the camera but then you have no reference point and the fingers get over the lens very easily especially if you rest fingers on top of camera.
Just finally had to sell it - believe me you can do a lot better than this camera. I replaced it with a Nikon coolpix L20 on closeout at Sams for $59 - Great photos excellent video - although AVI format but at least I carry one camera again.
Green camera February 12, 2010 L. Fredrick (Florida) This camera was a gift to myself. It takes excellent pictures and was well worth the price. It arrived very quickly and it perfect condition..I would definitely order again!
Lowered standards? February 6, 2010 Johnson Mcknight (Lafayette, LA) Has the world gone mad? Have we lowered our standards when it comes to quality? I mean, I just dont understand why anyone would rate a camera on anything other than PICTURE QUALITY. A camera is for...get a load of this,,,,taking pictures. It's not for pushing buttons and doing back flips. Just for taking pictures. At least, that's what I think. Anyway, it is MY OPINION that this camera STINKS. Simply put, the pictures come out grainy or out of focus or, grainy and out of focus. GARBAGE. I realize that this is no SLR, but can someone not invent a point-and-shoot that takes a picture that is at least in focus? What year is this again? This is my second try with a point and shoot. So far, I've had no luck. Next up...Canon SD1200.
Very Pleased with this camera! January 27, 2010 Denise Bettge (Seattle, WA USA) I really like how easy it is to use and it's compact size. The rechargable battery lasts quite a long time, and it takes an SD card which I can pop right into my laptop. It has quite a few different settings for different situations and if I'm on the right setting the pictures come out great. I am pleased w/the picture quality and recommend this for someone who wants a decent point and shoot lightweight camera at a good price..with simple settings. I've had several small digital cameras and this one is my favorite so far, and also the least expensive.
Cute and Small but Disappointing January 24, 2010 Melissa Kane (justjumpit86) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned this camera for over a year hate the quality of the pictures. I'm not an expert when it comes to cameras I'm not a novice either, and have larger better cameras but after a while the larger ones get heavy. So when I saw this camera I thought it would be perfect. Its light and portable however the quality does not make this camera worth the price. I have used every feature available to get quality shots and for close up (5ft) the pictures are for the majority are ok in quality considering the megapixels size. However, when I take pictures that are farther away then 5ft the picture quality diminishes as the distance gets further.
