The Sylvania DVL515 Slot In DVD Player provides all the requisite features of a DVD player, with an extra nod toward style. At less than 3 inches wide, the vertically oriented player will fit most anywhere, and the interchangeable pink and blue panels let you customize it to suit your space. Add progressive scan output, and the quality of your picture surpasses even the stylishness of the player. DVD features include black level shift, aspect ratio selection (standard 4:3, or widescreen 16:9) and 2x and 4x zoom. For parents wanting a bit more control, there's also a parental locking feature. The trilingual on screen display lets you choose between English, French and Spanish. The slot in player provides Dolby Digital and virtual surround. Connect the unit to your home theatre for great sound. In addition to standard composite a/v outputs, you can use the S-Video or component video out for superior image quality. The unit also functions as a CD player, with program play, random play, skip and search functions. You can play standard audio CDs, as well as MP3 and WMA files, making it a truly versatile media player. The player includes a remote control.

Its an ugly little thing, but it works ... and has continued to work for over a year. The only reason I bought it is because I had so little room left on the stand that standard dvd player would not fit.
PROS: Has all standard dvd features, long lasting
CONS: Ugly, can't handle non standard formats (i.e. dvd-rw)

Perfect for book shelf application in bedroom or den. Good value. Picture quality just fine. Biggest drawback...very low volume output. Got to set stand on top of monitor to hear. No, not the monitors fault...it sounds good alone.
