What's in the Box Polaroid One600 Classic Instant Camera, wrist strap, one-year limited warranty Should you really "shake it like a Polaroid picture?" Ever since the song "Hey Ya" by Andre 3000 of Outkast came out, everyone is shaking their Polaroid pictures. Shaking or waving a Polaroid picture to help the development process originated in the early days of peel-apart film. After peeling the negative, the image needed to dry before it could be handled, so waving the photo helped it to dry more quickly. When using the integral films (600, Spectra, 500, SX-70/Time-Zero, i-Zone) that are used in our most popular current camera models (Polaroid One, OneStep, JoyCam, etc.), the image develops and dries behind a clear plastic window and never touches the air, so shaking or waving has no effect. In fact, excessive shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film to separate prematurely, or can cause "blobs" in the picture. The best way to ensure a perfectly developed image is to simply lay the picture on a flat surface immediately after it exits the camera.

DONT BUY THIS CAMERA AND SUPPORT POLOROID! June 6, 2010 Barbara Peschl (FT. LAUDERDALE, FL United States) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was stupid enough to buy a Poloroid, just four months ago and am now stuck with an instant camera that is useless, unless I want to spend TWO HUNDRED dollars for a pack of ten! Sweet corporate Poloroid decided to just quit making the film, even though the camera is still for sale everywhere and no one will tell you that you can't buy film for it, quite a nice little con they have going on. Instead invest your money with Fugi, they have BETTER instant cameras and they don't pull these kinds of games on the consumer. Poloroid deserves to go out of business, the sooner, the better!
Polaroid One600 Classic Instant Camera March 5, 2010 Cat 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I had been wanting a Polaroid camera for a few months and had been debating on whether or not I should buy a used one or pay more and get a new one. I finally decided on a new one and purchased it on Amazon. It was delivered earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. However, though it was packed with tons of bubble wrap, the casing of the product was scratched and when I opened it the camera itself had a few scratches. Since I had specifically chosen to pay more for a new camera I was disappointed that it wasn't in perfect condition. Overall, the camera itself seems to be working as expected.

polaroid one600 not the best February 3, 2010 Nancy A. Kerrigan (oklahoma city) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The camera looks fine. But the pictures are not very good. We first had expired film in camera and the pictures were horrible. We then found new film and there is still a line down the side of all the pictures. We now know that some of the problem is the camera not just film. Too expensive for what we received.
