You may want to consider another brand of point and shoot 35mm film camera. We purchased this camera a little over a year ago, suddenly last week it would no longer load film. Being just beyond the 1 year warranty, we contacted Canon Service for information on repair. We were instructed to send the camera to them for evaluation. We received a phone call from them indicating the camera could not be repaired as they didn't have the parts. They couldn't even offer a replacement of the same camera. What they did offer was the 150U model for $88 with only a 6 month warranty. Based on the reviews here, it sounds like the 150 is not altogether great either. Up until the time the camera quit functioning it took good photos and was easy to use.
I just think for $100 a camera should last more than 15 months and be serviceable. This just seems too much like planned obsolescence to me.
Great camera! Recommended August 26, 2005 Baba O'Riley (Virginia) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Highly recommended! If you want a great camera that is well built & affordable this is it. I have developed five rolls of film so far and this takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen. My wife has an APS film which doesn't even come close to a 35 mm camera. Great zoom also!!!
Excellent Camera!! June 15, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've had this camera now for about 3 years and it still works like a charm and takes great pics w/o any redeye. The only problem I've had was once at a wedding I was taking pics all night and didn't realize I didn't have film until the end of the night. The camera just kept taking pics with flash and everything, so I had no idea. I wish it had something to let you know it needs film. I was very upset but that was mostly my fault. This is a great buy for the cheap price.
Point and Click for Perfect Photos!!! April 27, 2005 Maya Elena (Chicago, Illinois) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
"Point and Click" never described a camera so perfectly. Having owned my last camera for over 10 years, I was hesitant about buying a new camera but I had no choice when my former camera was busted at a Chicago White Sox Spring Training game! The first roll I took on opening day for the White Sox turned out a perfect roll of pictures. It's the best camera I've owned and it's by far not the most expensive. My husband and I attend a lot of sporting events so we're taking pictures of athletes moving and we'd had no problems getting clear photos in succession of a moving player. The color and images are sharp and defined. I got a little freaked out when I read the owner's manual but once I started taking pictures I saw how easy it was to use. This camera takes gorgeous pictures of images inside and outside. You won't be disappointed!!

This camera has taken excellent pictures. I am not a professional photographer, so I did not purchase a camera that has features I do not know how to use. I point the camera at the target, I push the button, put the camera back in my pocket, and continue with my day. Upon getting the film developed, I have nothing but great things to say because the pictures are all in focus and the colors look right. I only wish that the lens could make my wifes thighs look thinner. So what if the camera did not come with a battery. Go buy one.
