Amazon.com Product Description The Polaroid JoyCam Kit includes Polaroid's latest JoyCam camera model and a 10-frame film cartridge. The Polaroid JoyCam is a revision of the instant camera design that made Polaroid famous. It has a small body in comparison to its bulky predecessors and offers a frame counter and a built-in selectable flash with a flash-ready light. Easy enough for a child to use, the Polaroid JoyCam operates with the push of a single button--no focusing is necessary. The design feature that sets the Polaroid JoyCam apart from other instant cameras is its film delivery system--or lack of one. Traditional instant cameras relied on film cartridges with built-in batteries to enable the camera to expel each shot; however, this model works without a battery. Instead, users pull a plastic ring on the side of the camera to extract the exposed frame. This manual process enables Polaroid to offer a lighter camera body and compatible instant film cartridges at a more reasonable price. The Polaroid JoyCam takes pictures at a range of 3 feet to infinity. It works with Polaroid 500 instant film and produces pictures that measure 4.4 by 2.5 inches, which is slightly smaller than traditional Polaroid shots. The kit includes one box of Polaroid 500 film, providing you with everything you need to start snapping pictures immediately.

Junk! May 11, 2007 J. Ikner (OBX of NC) This was a terrible purchase. It was bought to be a fun and quick camera to use for fan shots for charity events, but it is not worth the money at all. Invest in a REAL Polaroid camera or digital with printer. You get what you pay for, but I did expect better with this one. Mine is in the trash, as I would not even consider giving it to someone to cause them frustration.
Still a fun camera in the digital age. March 10, 2006 Joseph P. Long 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You can't buy one of these new anymore; Polaroid no longer makes them. But, if you can find one on a certain auction site, usually for less than the price of shipping it to you, you can have a lot of fun.
I bought mine about three months ago on a whim. I noticed the 500 film, which is still sold at the drugstores, and wondered what Polaroid camera 500 fits. Well, one thing led to another and I got my JoyCam for the astounding price of five bucks and another four of five bucks for shipping--which is less than the price of a pack of film.
But, this camera is seriously fun. It takes decent shots. It doesn't make all that annoying scary motory noise that usual Polaroids make, and it never misses a shot!
I brought mine to work just to lighten up the mood. It's worked! This camera has brought some serious joy to a joyless office. Hence the name I guess.
People love getting their picture taken doing stupid stuff at work. Today, I took a picture of three coworkers who had gathered around a bag of pork rinds just stuffing their faces. You had to be there, but trust me, it was hilarious.
Get one while you can and have some fun.
New purchase, Polaroid I Zone instant combo August 19, 2001 Sarah Siggins (Topsham, Maine) 3 out of 13 found this review helpful
I just purchaded a new Polaroid Instant Combo, which Ididn't see on your list of items, it is really neat. Digital for my computer on 1 side, and flip button back to instant small film shots on the other side. Have you seen this Combo?? Would like to get some feedback on this question. Thanks, Sarah Siggins
For the JOY of it! July 14, 2001 G. B. Garcica (Dallas, TX United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this camera as a secret Santa gift last year and I love it. It's great for get togethers. It truly is instant fun! The cost of the film is a bit insane but when you factor in the lack of development fees and immediate satisfaction I manage to rationalize it. I have no complaints about the quality of pictures. They're not the best quality in the world but I am spending about [price]a picture- and that ain't that bad. The only complaint I really have is that on more than one occasion I have accidently hit the button and gotten a picture of the sky or driveway setting me off in a fit but that's about it.
this is awsome March 3, 2001 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
