Amazon.com Product Description The Nikon Light Touch 35mm camera is compact and fully automatic. The large true-image viewfinder means you won't have to squint while you shoot. The Nikon Light Touch also features a switchable panoramic option. It has a built-in automatic flash, built-in lens cap, and autofocus that can handle close-up shots. The two-shot self-timer gives you a second chance if someone blinked in the first shot.

Great little camera January 15, 2002 Patricia E. Lanious (Waukesha, WI United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this camera 7 years ago, right before I got married. We were going to the Mountains for our honeymoon and wanted a reliable, small, easy-to-load camera. We also wanted a panoramic feature to be able to take photos of the exquisite scenery. This camera fit the bill wonderfully. It is super-easy and quick to load--always a plus. All of the features--timer, tripod mount, various flash options, macro capability--make it extremely versitile. Honestly, I haven't used the panoramic mode since my honeymoon. But I have put many, many rolls of film thru it over the past 7 years and all the photos turn out wonderfully. If there is one negative, it is the wide-angle lens the camera has. Sometimes, objects that'd be easy to shoot with a normal camera come out as little specks (imagine looking down at people from the top of a tall building: they're teeny tiny). Overall, however, it is superb.
OK, but nothing special December 15, 2001 C.M. (Irving, TX) I've had this camera for a couple of years and have used it for family events, etc. When some friends and I went to Yosemite, I noticed that their point-and-click cameras got better results. It's a fine camera, but you can't zoom in or out at all. It only has two settings: either for mountains or for up close. Also, I've accidentally dropped it a couple of times and the batteries, film, everything has shot out of it. It didn't break, but it's not super durable either. Anyway, it's fine, but next time I'm going to spend a little more money for one with more features.
Looking to buy my SECOND camera December 11, 2001 John M. Bruchas (Chicago suburbs) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought a Lite Touch when it first came out 5 or 6 years ago - a lot of pros I work with also did so. First it's a Nikon, second the lens and AF system is great and thirdly it is VERY pocketable. (...) I have been looking to buy a back-up camera NEW but it is near impossible to find. Mine is often used for "grip and grin" shots at work. (...) If you want any excellent camera with a fairly fast lens - this is YOUR next pocket camera!
Very pleased with purchase March 10, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this camera for my 12 year old daughter about six months ago. She loves it. It is a very simple to use, very basic, but takes great pictures. I am considering getting the same one for my son. Well worth the money.
What Else Would you Need? October 24, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have traveled the world with one of these cameras for eight years, and only recently did I beat it to death. It is a camera to take along...everywhere (always in my bicycle bag, and inside pockets while rafting). There are lots of times when you do not want to take your best camera along, and this is the perfect substitute. Some new point and shoots feel fragile compared to this simple and straightforward camera. I wish Nikon would build more cameras like this one...tough with no frills (how about a metal body version?). The 28mm lens is a joy; it allows the small flash to work well while you get closer to your subjects. Should I buy more than one?
