My first purchase of a webcam. Easy to install, excellent audio/video and prompt, courteous assistance from Logitech.

I bought this product to Skype with my family and friends next fall when I am studying abroad. I have already started experienting by calling a few friends, my boyfriend, and my mom. All I hear is how great my picture quality is and clear movement is displayed. This was a great investment, and I was lucky to be able to buy this and get a deal on anothere logitech camera. I also have logitech speakers and know others who own logitech products: they are all well made!
 Great Web Cam, less options June 30, 2009
This cam has noticable clearer and smoother video quality than the lower models. But it has less options such as the cam cover that slides over the front of the cam and the ability to physically rotate the web cam up/down/diagonally without having to move the monitor or reset the web cam.
But this thing is great for skype and I am very happy with the purchase. I returned two of the logitech delux for these and they were worth it.

I've only used the webcam a few times, so I don't have a huge amount of experience with it. Seems to work pretty well overall, but isn't great in low light. I think my perception is influenced by the hardware on the other end of the conversation -- if the person you're talking with has technical difficulties with his or her gear, then your overall experience is likely to suffer. I also haven't mastered the art of looking into my webcam -- I tend to look at the image of the person on the other end instead, which means I appear to be looking down all the time. Probably a rookie mistake because I'm so new at this. There must be a fix for that, but I haven't found it yet.
